We are a school that proudly serves the Blacktown community by providing a high-quality education to children from kindergarten through to Year 6.
We believe that every child deserves to feel happy, valued, and confident in their abilities, and we work tirelessly to create a supportive and inclusive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Together with families and the broader community, we strive to build a foundation for lifelong learning and success, empowering our students to become thoughtful, resilient, and engaged members of society.

Principal's message
Dear Families,
Walters Road PS is situated in Blacktown on Darug land. Our school recognises the traditional custodians of the land and the diversity within our community. At Walters Road PS we strive to build a safe, inclusive and secure learning environment which inspires students to be challenged and achieve their personal best.
Our professional and collegial teachers, supported by our dedicated administration staff, are committed to continually improving their teaching practice to create engaging and balanced learning programs that meet the needs of each student. At Walters Road we offer a wide variety of extra curricular activities to enhance student wellbeing. The in-school activities include Choir, Dance, PSSA, Debating, Hub Club and leadership opportunities.
All students within the school are encouraged to attend school every day, to learn and try their best. This is underpinned by the Positive Behaviour for Learning core values of being a safe, respectful, responsible learner. The parent partnership is an integral part of our school ethos. We encourage participation through a number of forums and programs which include our P&C, Parent / Teacher meetings, fundraising and participation at various school events.
The opportunity to serve as principal of Walters Road Public School is a great privilege and pleasure. I look forward to learning and working alongside students, staff and community.
In kindness,
Samantha Gillard
